Elijah Hack
attorney
Through zealous, client-centered advocacy, Elijah Hack fights for outcomes that make his clients whole and hold government actors accountable.
Elijah Hack is dedicated to fighting for civil rights and protecting foundational freedoms. Raised by Peace Corps volunteers, Elijah was taught at an early age to use his power and privilege to help others. He carried this philosophy throughout his time at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and during a fellowship at the Ohio Innocence Project, where he investigated and litigated cases of actual innocence and fought for the rights of clients cast aside by a system that values finality over truth.
After law school, Elijah began his career as a civil litigation attorney at Rolfes Henry Co. LPA, where he practiced in state and federal court. Elijah then worked as a staff attorney at the Ohio Justice and Policy Center, a nonprofit law firm that advocates for justice and fair treatment in all stages of incarceration. Elijah secured releases for over-sentenced and over-punished Ohioans through the firm’s Beyond Guilt project and advocated for civil rights of Ohio prisoners as part of the Human Rights in Prison Project. Most notably, he represented an Ohio prisoner who was denied medical care to fix a life-threatening hernia. He secured what is believed to be the largest financial settlement in the history of the Ohio Justice and Policy Center on behalf of this client.
Elijah brings a passion for justice to the FG+G team, using his skillset to be a fervent, outcome-focused advocate for his clients.
